Dear Chairperson Devanadera ,
We noted the increase in Universal Charges this month by Php 0.15 per kilowatt hour. Of this amount is Php 0.04 representing the NPC stranded debts .
The records show that the Chairperson on March 3, 2020 directed Meralco, DOE, PSALM, DBM, Bureau of Treasurer, DOF and Pepoa to file their separate Comment on the Laban Konsyumer petition to Stop immediately the collection of the NPC stranded debts and stranded contract costs , including a refund of the amount paid last year after the Murang Kuryente Act became effective.
More than a month had lapsed and LKI have not received any Comment from any of the Parties . We believe the Commission can resolve the Petition now .
We plead the urgent favorable resolution of the Petition with a mandatory refund to all consumers. Thank you very much
