Sir /Madam:
This is to confirm our suggestion to include the food industry and consumer representatives in the proposed Task Force on Transfatty Acids, either as full term Members or observers . Considering that the Bills subject matters are food and health , it is appropriate that these two sectors be made members of the Task Force , whose contributions will be very valuable , practical and appropriate.
Also, we put on record our support in the proposals to protect Filipino consumers from the harmful effects of Transfatty Acids and that the present 18th Congress be able to enact the Bills into law .
