Laban Konsyumer Inc. supports the proposed Used Car Lemon Law
For the limited period detailed in the Bill. We suggest though that consumer to consumer transaction be excluded in the coverage of the Bill , but only sales by dealers or traders .
On the amendment to the Lemon Law by reducing the lemon law period to one repair attempt for non conformity issues , this is Solomonic.
This is definitely pro consumer as consumers will feel safe in the quality of the vehicles sold in the Philippines. This Bill should apply to imported completely built unit vehicles . This policy may contribute to the growth of local car manufacturing in the long term.
